Stop all
One control that stops everything AI-related on your Mac, cleanly, and keeps it stopped until you say so.
Where it is
Stop all is at the top of itokens's window and in the menu bar panel.
What it stops
It asks once, then stops, in this order, showing each step as it happens:
- Answers being written (each one is saved as stopped).
- Setup, or a switch to another AI, if one is under way.
- Your AI (it is asked to exit, and forced after 10 seconds only if it has not).
- Ollama, if it is running.
- Anything else still running from itokens's MLX environment, such as an AI left over from a crash.
- Monitoring.
Downloads keep going, and nothing is uninstalled or deleted.
While everything is stopped
The button reads Stopped, and nothing AI-related starts until you restart.
Restart
Open the same dialog. Restart with starts the AI that was running, with the same settings, and Ollama if it was running; Restart without models only unlocks itokens. Quitting itokens also releases it.
